We CAN read 1000 books!

Group Meeting:  Our count of books this afternoon reached 1120 books.  This means that we get to have ice cream for our snack tomorrow.  Thank you parents for helping us reach this goal.  Tomorrow will be Bring a Grown Up to School Day.   The grown-ups will be participating in our ice cream party celebration.

Story:  Today, Pete the Cat is heading to school.  I read Pete the Cat Rocking in My School Shoes.  Pete is going to school.  He learns about the different areas in the school such as the library, lunchroom, and playground.  Is he worried about his new school environment?  Goodness, no!  It's all good!

Small Group:  Our story yesterday was about Pete's groovy buttons.  Today, the children counted groovy buttons onto a pipe cleaner.  We tried to see how many we could count.

Large Group:  We learned a new bean bag game that the children will be sharing with their grown-ups tomorrow.  I hope the grown-ups are good at throwing and catching.

Snacks:  The morning class had pretzel Goldfish, string cheese, and juice brought by Riley.  The afternoon class had crackers, string cheese, and juice brought by Kadence.  Thank you!
